This yarn was spun with lots of love from prize-winning, locally sourced Jacob fleece. I washed the fleece myself, hand carded it lightly to maintain some texture, spun it semi-woolen, and thread plied it with a novelty yarn made from wool and stainless steel, which has a very slight shimmer.

Jacob is a rare conservation sheep breed that produces gorgeous multi-colored wool with a nice luster and soft texture, one of my favorite breeds. The sheep are very sweet and friendly, too! This yarn would qualify as skin-soft for many people. Purchasing wool from this rare breed helps to preserve and maintain its unique identity for the future.

Comes to you tied with recycled sari silk ribbons!

Don't be afraid to knit or crochet with art yarn! This skein, 62 yards, is enough to make a one of a kind cowl or unique wrist warmers on size 10 to 11 needles. Convo me if you need pattern suggestions or ideas for using this, or any of my yarns!
