This beautiful antique Burslem cream and sugar set is almost too good to be true! It was recently purchased at an Estate Sale and I was told that it was kept for many years in a china cabinet, only taken out for special occasions such as Christmas. How wonderful that it will have the opportunity to be loved and used once more!

The condition is very good, no flaws noted aside from some areas with light crazing and minimal pattern loss. The teal blue colour is so soft and pretty, and I just love the plump shape, double handle, and generous size of the sugar dish. The creamer has a pretty ruffled mouth with the blue pattern continuing on the inside of the rim as well.

It is rare to find a set like this with the original lid for the sugar dish as this piece is often broken or missing. This set is pretty enough for formal occasions, but study enough for everyday use. Perfect for adding a little Victorian charm to a modern-day kitchen.
