Beautiful vintage wedding dress in doubled open weave tulle over liner - embroidered back bow and front panel with scalloped neckline 28 buttons & loops in back. This dress has it all!
This dress dates from approximately 1955 to 1963. Please note material in this item does NOT stretch.
The neckline is a scalloped edging with 28 covered buttons with loops down the back from on the top lace edging to down into skirt. The doubled open weave tulle shell has attached semi sheer thin liner in top with it hanging from waist attached on front vertical panel seams and back center seam to hem of liner (ends about 3" above tulle hem). The top front has appliqued braid floral one and 1/2 to 3 & 1/2" in length - back and front vertical darts to waist and front darts mid sleeve inset seam to waist. It has piped waist seam with flat front panel with flat pleats to each side. The flat front panel to hem has 3 large floral embroidered areas part way down.

The skirt is very full from waist with front panel measuring (across at waist: 4" - at hem: 36 & 1/2" across) and 44 & 1/4" waist to hem - sides waist to hem: 46 & 3/4" - back center waist to hem: 59" (waist dips in back about 2"). Hem circumference of liner approximately: 180", shell approximately: 200".

The back is 12" from center top to bow - 14" to dropped waist. Top back to hem: 73".
There is an attached back bow of double open weave tulle shell - top piece for "bow" is 9" across hem and 11" long down. The "tails' are attached underneath the top piece measuring 33 & 3/4" from where attached and covered the first 11" by top piece and have a point end about 10" slant hem. These back bow/tails have floral embroidered design on them in places.
The top front has attached sleeve - most similiar to a cap style with ruching along top at shoulder seam and under arm. The shoulders are 2 & 7/8" long and then 3" of ruching out to hem from there. The underarm seam is one & 3/8" long with measuring flat - the opening of arm is 6 & 1/4".

Other measurements: across top back measures: 18" top shoulders the same (off shoulder kind of style). Hip: very full, Waist across: 13", front underarm underarm 19".
Dress form is flat back - wears a 32B bra - wears todays 4 and 6 the best. SOME PICTURES TAKEN WITH VERY FULL CRINOLINE.

Condition: fray at top button where button sewn on - on the lace (rest of buttons are sewn onto lined top), soiling on liner hem edges and above, yellowing underarms, on the front panel on doubled open weave tulle on the TOP layer there is a hole about 1/8" in size near embroidery.
Beautiful vintage wedding dress from estate. Has some issues but what a beauty! Simple yet so traditional for the age.
