These are Two Vintage Real Photo RPPC Postcards showing the Passenger Ship " Rapids Prince" running the rapids on St. Lawrence River. These are two real photos of this vessel. On the first photo it says; Passenger Ship Navigating Longue Sault Rapids. St. Lawrence River Scenery. Second postcard says; "Rapid Prince" Longue Sault Rapids St. Lawrence River.

Built in Toronto, Ontario, in 1910, the steel shallow hull steamer "Rapids Prince" ran the rapids of the St. Lawrence River between Prescott and Montreal, Quebec. Planks fastened to the hull underwater served to minimize any damage if the steamer were to hit a rock in the rapids. The "Rapids Prince" was still operational in 1948.

These photos are in good vintage condition.
