Antique Primitive 1800's Vermont Swingle Tree Horse Yolk Harness is a crossbar, pivoted at the middle, to which the traces of a harness are fastened for pulling a cart, carriage, plow, or other farm implements. Very Unique looking with a farmstead of 3 generations of Vermont History. They have made for one or two horses. This one is for one horse.
Also called Whippletree, Singletree, Swingletree or Horse Yoke.

Measures 35" length
Weathered and used with loads of character from years of farm work. This one is very early, made with lot's of lovely hand forged wrought iron parts. Found in a rural barn in Milton, Vermont.

Nice for kitchen hanging pot's and pans, outdoor decor, props, restaurants, etc.
