This gorgeous porcelain perfume egg was made in Limoges, France by Goumot Labesse Porcelains. The mark on the bottom signifies that it was made sometime during a 1948-1977 time frame.

Inside the egg, which opens by pressing the button on top, are two tiny violin shaped perfume bottles with glass wands. They measure 2"(52mm) by 7/8"(22mm). On the bottom is "French Bottle" in relief.

The trim on the egg, which contrasts nicely with the light blue porcelain, is brass. There are painted gold stars on the surface of the porcelain.

The egg stands 5 1/4" (57mm) tall and is 2 5/* (69mm) wide. The bottom stand is 3" (76mm) in diameter. As far as I can see it is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks or any imperfections. The bottom stand turns and moves a bit on the axis. It may be able to be tightened. One of the perfume bottles has the top frozen on and a few flea bites to the top.. The other comes out easily. The 1960s date is an looks a little more modern than the 1940s or 50s.
