Pernod Fils glass pitcher from 1950s France. This jug was used in a bar in the 1950s in France and passed down to the grandaughter of the lady who ran the bar, so it has been used by three generations of the same family. It's a heavy pressed glass pitcher with the Pernod Fils logo on the front and would have been filled with water to put in pastis and other aperitifs.

It's a rare jug - I have never seen one like this before!

It measures 6½ins (17.5cm) high and is 4¼ins (10.5cm) in diameter across the top, tapering in towards the bottom. It's in good condition with no cracks and just a very few tiny flea bites around the top. The glass has some air bubbles in from the manufacturing process as you can see in the photos.

This is a great item to impress your friends with - it's rare, useful and decorative!
