The turquoise wool on this sleep sack is a thick cashmere that is as soft as a cloud. The bodice is constructed from thin, grey merino wool. This is a newborn sleep sack without straps that simply pulls onto baby's body for a cozy fit. The merino can be rolled down, as shown in the first photo, to fit tiny babies.

The merino wool is a super thin jersey baby rib with lots of stretch. It is nice and thin so that you can layer whatever you want under this: a onesie or t-shirt in the summer months, or a long sleeve in the colder months.
If you'd like, you can use this as a cloth diaper cover. If you use prefold, flat, fitted, or contour diapers, they need a cover. Wool can be used as a diaper cover if you lanolize it and keep it lanolized. For more info, see my FAQ here on my blog: http://rebourneclothing.wordpress.com/faq/

Total length (top of straps to bottom of elastic): 21 1/2"
Chest: 11-18"

This features an elasticated bottom opening, with a cord lock to loosen and tighten the slack.

CARE: Hand wash with gentle soap containing lanolin. Follow instructions that I will include with shipment and via email.

Why use wool? Wool breathes, is a natural and sustainable fiber, it has not been treated with harsh fire retardant chemicals, it will help your baby maintain a healthy temperature, it is soft, and it will absorb wetness to use as a cloth diaper cover.
