Fabulous double coil snake bracelet from the 1920s. The head and tail are finely detailed on the top and the underside. The snake is an important symbol. In many mythologies snakes have magical healing and protective powers. There's also of course that serpent in the Garden of Eden, which is associated with sin and general naughtiness. For whatever reason, women have adorned themselves with serpents of all kinds through out the ages. These particular bracelets are getting rarer and rarer to find. They are highly collectible and so beautiful on.

This bracelet is in reasonable vintage condition with some wearing of color. It is made of a shiny silver tone metal (not silver). It has tight coils with a circumference of 16.5 cm 6 1/2") and an inner diameter of 5.5 cm (2 1/4") at rest, so I assume it was worn by someone with a small wrist. Head measures 3 cm (1 1/4") long by 1.5 cm (5/8") wide. Grab it while you still can!
