Materials: fisherman style knitting worsted wool, wool mohair blend yarn, black walnut hulls for dye, metal vintage button

Wrap your bride in warm cream and butterscotch wool!

The colors in this triangular wool shawl remind me of my mother's homemade butterscotch sauce on Haagen Dasz vanilla ice cream. I used black walnut hulls to get the soft brown color outlining the crocheted edge of this shawl.
The vintage metal filigree button, anchored at the back by a second button, works like a cufflink; you can move it along the openwork edge for different effects around the neck. Or you can remove it completely for a simpler look.
The button holds the shawl firmly closed, freeing up the hands to hold the bouquet, cut the wedding cake, greet your guests, etc.
The collar can be turned up or down.
After the wedding, this shawl will keep back and shoulders beautifully warm on evenings out, while sitting by a chilly window, or just lounging.
