I really fell in love with this little dragon stamping. It is so detailed and graceful and also captures the wildness and fierceness of dragons without being quite as menacing as some stampings I've seen. The dragon is brass with a lovely antique sterling silver plating. It is long--2 and 5/8 inches--and I thought it would work better on a cuff than a necklace.

The cuff is made with a dark indigo blue plant dyed felt and strands of cloud-like bamboo roving. I used invisible thread to stitch the dragon to the felt. This was my first experience with this thread--they aren't kidding when they say "invisible," so just threading the needle was an interesting challenge! Tiny silver plated glass beads dot the blue around the dragon.

The cuff closes with a recycled glass button from Ghana and an elastic loop. I adhered a strip of soft bamboo batting to the underside for incredible softness against the skin.

The cuff measures 8 and 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide.
