I am selling this super old 1897 Primrose League Warden's badge, made by W.O. Lewis of Birmingham from gilt metal and enamel.

The Primrose League was an organization for spreading Conservative principles in Great Britain, founded in 1883 and active until the mid 1990s. It was finally wound up in December 2004.

This badge measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inches and both parts are stamped W.O. Lewis. It has the registration number 29384 and I can't read the last digit, but it dates the piece to 1897.

The condition is fantastic really for 115 years old and it is lovely and clean.

It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display or practical piece, or authentic period prop.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
