Antique quilt c. 1850. T design, entirely hand pieced.

A fabric lovers dream....Madder copper brown solid, possibly a home dye with a fine red and white stripe shirting. A lovely array of warm brown and black prints, sometimes with red, orange or blue.

The back is a sacking like off white cotton that is folded to the front to bind.
Medium weight.

Densely hand quilted all over in arcs or Baptist Fans.

Well over 100 years old (possibly 150) it is in fair antique condition with many of the print patches worn away to the batting. No holes right the way through, rips or major stains.

I think it would be a great candidate to restore, either with reproduction fabric or, if you are lucky enough, the real thing ......
or it could be folded as part of antique/primitive/farmhouse display.

measures 66" x 82"
