The Blue Flower, by Henry Van Dyke, was a very popular book of romantic stories, first published in 1902. This is a first edition of that book, and it includes 7 color plate illustrations, including works by the noted illustrator Howard Pyle.

What is perhaps most appealing about this 7.25 x 9.25, 298-page book is the amazingly beautiful art nouveau cover design. It's really beautiful, and would look amazing as an accent piece -- I keep imagining a retro boudoir with this beauty displayed on a nightstand.

The book shows rubbing and wear around the edges and the tips are bumped and worn. The cover shows a bit of soiling, but the great cover design is still bright and distinct. The interior has no rips or tears, but there is a bit of age-related tanning to the pages. The binding is very secure and all the pages are firmly attached.
