A lovely old cedar wood divided box stamped on both sides as made by the George C. Brown Company of Greensboro, NC (opened in 1914). Hand nailed and stamped. I'm dating this box to the 20s due to the estate from which it was purchased. Made of solid cedar, this long and narrow box, or crate, measures 36 1/4" x 6 5/8" x 3 1/4". Vintage condition, the box is still very sturdy though it does have a narrow age crack that runs along on side of the box (shown in photo). Full of simple character, this would make a wonderful storage piece anywhere in your home, fill it with vintage with sewing patterns, or use for display out on the porch filled with flower pots.
