On offer is a stunning ceramic mid century modern star-shaped rhombic bowl / planter made by Red Wing USA in the 1960's and designed by renowned female industrial designer Belle Kogan.

This is one of many interesting pieces she designed in the 1960's for Red Wing's "prismatique" line. The exterior is ivory and the interior is a mandarin orange colour. It is finished in a semi-gloss glaze. This bowl is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or crazing. There are several small fleabites on some of the tips that I have attempted to show in close up photos. They are hardly noticeable and don't detract at all from the piece. Each planter was individually made, and with such craftsmanship, there are inherent imperfections in the glaze, making each piece absolutely unique. These are not easy to find and don't come up for sale or auction very often.

Dimensions: Approx: 3-1/2" high by 10" diameter. The bottom is marked "RED WING U.S.A. 789".
