Wonderful antique Christie's Butter Wafer Tin, dating to the early 1900s. I love the navy colour and bold graphics on this old tin, great rustic piece to display in your kitchen.

William Mellis Christie began a bakery in Toronto in the 1850s, and by the 1880's, Christie's was the largest biscuit manufacturer in Canada. Christie's was acquired by Nabisco in the 1920s, but the Mr. Christie name still remains on many cookie varieties that they produce in Canada today, and all Canadians remember the popular slogan: "Mr. Christie, you make good cookies!"

This piece is in rustic condition, lots of dents and dings, and rust inside and out. An old piece of tape remains on the lid. So much beautiful character, great for storage.

6 1/2" tall
6" diameter
