Hold on, I hear the phone ringing...."Hello? Why Yes, I'd love to join you for a Luau! I'll bring the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake!" :)

This vintage cake carrier, server and saver by Ransburg is in excellent condition, gleaming and bright with its midcentury style! This would be fantastic to bring to a summer pool party, BBQ, Birthday or any event where you want your serving piece and its contents to stand out!

The yellow paint and hand painted golden pineapple design is augmented with a red and black tray painted below it and small flowers on either side of it with red centers and above there is a leaf and what looks like either a pineapple slice turned at an angle or perhaps a stylized Hawaiian tribal shield.

This motif is sooo 50's! People were Kahuna crazy in the 50's and 60's much like they were about all things Egyptian in the 30's. Post War leisure and the reasonable airfare to Hawaii made the island life something everyone could relate to or at least dream about having within reach.

It also comes with the original shipping box as it was sent to the store in very good condition and it even has the original advertising insert inside which still rests on top of the glass serving platter! It's so amazingly complete with fresh-like newness to have all of the original parts to go with it!

There is a small amount of vintage wear to note though. This has been used a little. There are a few chips in the paint under the lip of the cover which are not visible from the outside. So, it has likely been opened and closed a number of times and carried vintage cakes to vintage parties! The paint is otherwise perfect. There is also a small amount of oxidization on the underside of the metal part of the tray clips, which is not even visible unless you turn the tray upside down (which would be bad for your cakes and treats, so don't do that!). Aside from those two relatively hidden issues, it's just beautiful all over!

Just looking at it makes me wanna go bake some cake! Nom! Nom! Moar Cake Pleese! :)~
