This delightful vintage Herbalist Almanac from 1944 is a wonderful combination of Farmer's Almanac and better health through botanical herbs booklet- either using the wisdom of ancient remedies or ahead of its time- you can decide which.

The front of the booklet is a beautiful illustration of a Native American man presenting herbs to a Chief who is holding a slim pipe. How cool is that? Tee-pees and lush, green woodland foliage fills out the cover.

Inside are color botanical illustrations of common herbs and plants as well as a monthly sun and moon phases, rise and set times; horoscope information, long-range weather forecasts, planting and harvest info, and pages and pages of info about disease prevention, vitamins, folk medicines, beauty concoctions, and healthy recipes.

The pamphlet is 64 pages long (counting both sides) and is printed on newsprint with a lightweight matte cover. It is in good condition considering it is newsprint. The pages are yellowed but completely readable, and the cover has signs it was read and a small tear at the top spine, but really in amazing shape. The two edges of the back cover have been folded but are intact.

Would be fun for anyone interested in farming, organic living, plants and herbs, or old folk remedies to own and look through. Much of the advice here is eternal and still very true.
