Vera Neumann is one of the 20th century's most important painters! Her work is often overlooked, since she painted primarily for WOMEN, and believed that art should be used, worn and loved, not just looked at!

Vera's hands created this wild, safari-style design with her favorite Sumi-E Japanese badger-hair brush, tons of rhythm and pure imagination. It was then silk-screened by hand in Japan onto the finest fabric. The sienna brown dots seem to vibrate and race over off-white - very earthy and African-inspired.

Measures 22" square... the right size for wrapping your head, neck, wrist (for an unusual French-style bracelet) or even your purse straps (like all the Hollywood girls do). Or, frame it on your wall for a conversation-inspiring work of art! Or buy another Vera in this size and sew up a one-of-a-kind pillow!

No tag. Made in Japan with either pure silk or a blend of silk and vinal. Dry clean is best. Lovely vintage condition.
