A pretty antique french silverplated charm from France.

The front features Archangel St Michael
The reverse depicts a shining star and a branch of lilies.

In Hebrew, Michael means "who is like God".
In late medieval Christianity, Michael, together with Saint George, became the patron saint of chivalry and is now also considered the patron saint of police officers and the military.
On the Western Christian calendar the feast is celebrated on 29 September but in the Eastern Orthodox Church, Saint Michael's principal feast day is November 8.

Fine details.

Approx 1,3 cm diam = 1/2 inch diam without top loop or bail
