This original design handcrafted stained glass Celtic Knot suncatcher is fashioned after the many Celtic Knot designs found in the Book of Kells. This piece measures approximately 7.00 inches in length and 6.50 inches wide and has a handcrafted loop attached for hanging. The four quadrant loops are constructed in a textured Grape Purple stained glass with an adjoining circle in a textured clear glass that adds a brilliant sparkle to this piece. This Celtic Protection Knot Suncatcher is finished in a highly polished, bright silver patina.

The four cornered or sided Celtic Knot is thought to be a symbol of protection to word off the evil eye as it becomes trapped in the knotwork. It also is an example of how the four seasons and/or four elements are connected and thus sustain life.

Our Celtic designs, many of which are original and registered copyrighted designs, are examples of the designs found in the Book of Kells. They are not reproduced from commercially available stained glass pattern books.
