This Mod black desk lamp, produced by Burman in the early 60's, is an amazing piece of pop design. Composed of three sides, each with its own bubble window, is an iconic mod space design and is an incredible example of early plastic home decor. These early plastic pieces are rare, as they were not highly valued, and were generally mistreated, or tossed when they went out of style. I just love the clean, space age design, and will only part with it, if you promise to take care of it.
The plastic does show some light scratches, and there is a slight imperfection of unevenly trimmed black plastic seen in the main picture. A turn switch is on one side, and it has a white cord. All in all, the lamp is in great shape and in perfect working order. These also came in red, and other colors may be out there, but the black edition goes with any color scheme. Lamp is 10 inches tall, and seven inches wide. Shipping in the USA is included.
