Hiroshige (1797-1858) was one of the last great artists in the ukiyo-e tradition. Though he captured a variety of subjects, his talent was shown to greatest effect in creating images of his native Edo (modern day Tokyo). The plate for this modern day print was taken from one of the finest editions of his work, now in the Ota Memorial Museum of Art.

Oversized print on heavy weighted stock measures 12"x15.5". Print is clean and unmarked. All marks appearing on this print are from the original woodblock used to create this print. Great for collage, altered art or your favorite decoupage project.

Actual print for sale. Not a reproduction.

All plates/prints mailed in archival cello sleeve with sturdy backing or mailing tube. Please note -- the watermark on this image is for computer viewing only and not included on the actual print.
