If you have a quilter in your life, vintage fabric makes a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift. This package includes 25 pairs of 5 inch squares cut from actual vintage feedsacks, these are not reproduction prints. This makes for a total of fifty squares in one of the most popular cuts used by quilters, 2 each of 25 different prints. The fabrics are all cotton, rotary-cut for precisions, and have no tears or obvious stains. During the hard times in the 30s and wartime in the 40s, flour, sugar and feed companies packed their goods in colorful printed fabric bags that women used for clothing, aprons and of course, quilts, in the best tradition of using what you have to make what you need. The patches will pair wonderfully with any book of scrap quilt patterns, or with one of the many books available now with patterns from the 1930s. Or, it's a great way to ramp up the scrappy factor in your own feedsack quilts!
