I stumbled on this fantasitc vintage white damask tablecloth at an estate sale. Found out it is very old. It has a family name embroidered on it and the date 1889. The name and I think rank is
Fest. Wilbelmstein Stembuder Sec. The two letters S.S. are under the name with the date of 1889.

The cloth tells quite a story! hunt scenes around the border, with hunters, rifles, dogs, deer or elk and I think a wild boar. On the inside is water, in the foreground with goregous castle looking estate and wall behind it. A ship with masts and people aboard off to the side.

I kept the photos dark so you can see the amazing detail. I have never seen anything that tells such a story! What a great find to add to your vintage collection. Prerfect for that library table!

Size- 50"Sq.
Fabric- linen, cotton damask
Condition - five pin head spots

I have not attempted to treat this and it is clean and after a pressing is displayable.
