This is an entirely handmade piece of vintage furniture that I have given a new lease of life.

The unit is made from various woods and I think it was made sometime between 1930's to 1950's. All the books are handmade. The jars are filled with an array of real seeds and spices and the natural history jars are filled with real insects (purchased from a commercial source and I set them in resin to preserve them.) There is a robins nest, genuine fossil tooth which (with a little artistic license) is now a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth, plus a genuine micro Geode. Real small animal bones fill the two tall jars (collected legitimately from the wild countryside.)

I have fitted and electric light which has a plug attached but this can be removed and connected straigh to the wiring.

This item would be perfect for the seasoned victorian collector or museum or curio shop. The items would have been collected by the inquisitive victorian. All the labels are latin names.

Aged antique parchments line the back of the cabinet and I feel this additional detail adds an antique quality to the cabinet. This is a one off. There will never be another like it as the cabinet is vintage and not a modern reproduction.

All the items are fixed in place.

Height 15cm x Width 8.4cm x Depth 4.4cm.
