Lovely example of David Stewart's Lion's Valley stoneware. An adorable elephant planter. Interior is glazed. Stewart was a potter who worked under Margarite Wildenhain at Pond Farm as her assistant. This is classic 1970s. Red stoneware clay with a lovely gray/white glaze.

No chips, cracks, or crazing. Some residual dirt on the interior. Overall, fabulous vintage condition. 6" long, 2.5" high.
