Coffee or tea, pastries or fruit with yogurt - this five piece set can handle both or mix it with other brown transferware or white stoneware for larger meals. The set consists of a square platter with handles and two cups and saucers. These brown transferware pieces were produced by Brownfield & Sons of Staffordshire, England in 1888. The pattern name is "Harvard".

What a lovely gift for someone born in 1988 - exactly 100 years after this set was issued!

The platter is 9 1/2 inches square. The handles add an additional 1/2 inch on two sides. The platter has discoloration and a 1/8 inch chip at the edge. Make sure you view all photos. The saucers are also discolored, but the cups are still very white. Cups and saucers have no chips or cracks. Saucers measure 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Upper rim cup diameter is 3 3/8 inches.
