Long and shallow, this dark pink "Confetti" serving bowl from Boontonware's Belle line is perfect for serving bread, finger foods, or display of it's fab 1950's style. This elongated atomic age oval bowl measures 14½" long by 6" wide by 2" high, and is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. The serving dish has retained its luster, and has few utensil marks. It is marked "Boontonware U.S.A 609."

If you are not familiar with Boontonware, it's like the Cadillac of mid-century melamine: crazy mod, heavy duty and originally designed for use by the U.S. military. Produced in Boonton, NJ, it rose to great popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, and is quite collectible today. Confetti or speckled pieces are particularly rare to find.
