RESERVED FOR JUDY DURAND THRU 10 14, 2013. These vases date back to the late 1940s. Their color is a shade of jade with gold trim around the base, on the decorative scrolls and leafs at the back and at the front starting at the base and climbing upward and along the top of the tip. Some of the gold trim is worn in some areas but, as you can see , the majority is still present creating an elegant contrast to the jade color. There are no chips, cracks or other damage. They measure 12 1/2" in length from the back (top) to the tip of the horn (front) with the base measuring 10 1/2" in length, 3 7/8" wide at mid-point and 2 1/2" wide at each end. They are 7 5/8" in height at the back. The vases make a striking presentation on a breakfront, piano or table. They were often filled with long-stemmed flowers and used as a centerpiece on the dining room table.
