About the Author:
Bernard S. Mason was an outstanding authority on the philosophy of play and on Indian crafts and lore, Indian dances, woodcraft, and camping. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and subsequently left his teaching post there to write and lecture. During World War II, Dr. Mason developed a course in camping and wilderness living and wrote a survival manual for the U.S. Air Force.

+hardcover book with rust colored book cloth and black lettering
+measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 118 pp.
+contents include illustrated instructions on how to make: Horn Headdress, Turbans and Hair Feathers, Dance Fans, Moccasins, Instruments and MUCH MORE (see picture 3 for full table of contents)
+exlibris - formerly "Property of Washington Township Schools (NJ)" - has stamps and card catalog sleeve on the endpapers and remnant of a paper label on the spine

CONDITION:
very good vintage condition. some sticky residue near the remnants of the paper label on the spine, some old library and "discard" stampings on the endpapers.
