Add some attitude to your (knitting) spinning!

This handy tool for both knitters and spinners is hand turned by me on my lathe. This gauge is made of bocote which is beautifuly grained in a dark and light brown. I finished it on the lathe with 2 coats of friction polish for a nice finish. The gauge is a total of 5 inches in length and has a hook and ribbon for hanging. It has both a 1 inch and 1/2 inch wrapping area to accommodate different thicknesses of yarn.

A WPI gauge measures the thickness of your yarn by counting the number of wraps of the yarn in a 1 inch space, or 1/2 inch space and multiplying by 2.
