Vintage style inspired parts combine with new materials to make a Steampunk monocle necklace; a great item that’s both fun and playful to wear!

Made with a handmade imitation leather sleeve to keep the lens as scratch free as possible when not in use. The sleeve snugly fits over the monocle and to a degree, keeps the lens clean too.

Inspired by the antique 'quizzing monocles' which were in use as early as the 15th century..." the term “quizzing glass” came into popular use toward the end of the 18th century. It is sometimes assumed that quizzing glasses were used only by men as they are most often associated with fashionable dandies of the Regency and Victorian eras but in truth they were used by both genders. The quizzing glass generally dangled at the end of a long ribbon or chain around the neck and was held up to the eye to “quiz” (stare, glance, look at quizzically) people and objects."*

Completed with a water resistant drawstring bag for safe keeping, if a friend has trouble reading small letters or maybe an interesting gift idea is needed for the globetrotter you know, consider the practical and novel present of a monocle necklace. It’s a fun something that speaks to our inner kid detectives and lets us play at work and at home.

This is a beautiful and extremely unique piece and I love everything about it! I'd love to get another one with either a gold or silver frame eventually. I cannot wait until we can do in person events again, because my half-elf wizard is going to rock this so hard! I also loved the wax sealed note that came with it. I will definitely buy from this shop again and highly recommend them to anyone!

I am absolutely in love. This was one of those things that I didn't realize I needed until I saw it. I use a parasol daily during the summer and usually have a fan stashed in my bag. Now I have a holster for them that is beautiful and very functional! The leather is beautifully designed and nice and soft. Melissa is delightful to work with and my package got here quickly. I mean Edmonton to Phoenix, AZ is quite a ways but it arrived in time for me to take it to the local botanical garden for a proper socially distanced outing. I can't wait to show it off. Also can't wait to get a few other things that I now must have. ❤

The perfect accessory to one of my costumes. Beautiful design and Ms. Melissa's shop note was so helpful and sweet.
