Sausage? Exciting? In good company? Well, the 1950's certainly were an interesting time.

159 Exciting Easy-do-meals with Sausage. By Ida Bailey Allen, Leading authority on cooking and nutrition. 48 numbered pages.

This little retro mod gem has it all. Salmi, cervalat, liverwurst, bologna, frankfurters, braunschweiger, pepperoni, Polish sausage... You get the idea.

This cookbook has smattering of fun black and white pictures - of adorable mid-century children, beautiful housewives, and cute young husbands delighted to be getting a steaming pile of Bologna-Mushroom-Kraut Casserole (or whatever it is - see last photo).

It says there are 159 meals, so I haven't bothered counting. Here's a little of what you can find inside: Deviled Biscuits, clam-frankfurter dip, pea soup Holland style, East Indian soup, liverwurst dumplings, frankfurters piquant, southern hominy with sausage, chicken breast-ham bologna grills, cheese-sausage bake Hollywood, rice vegetable ring, savory potato pudding, bunwiches, lima bean sausage and olive salad, and other not vegetarian friendly nor heart healthy but certainly fascinating recipes.

CONDITION: A few smudges here and there. A library looking number taped to the front and a big tape pull off of the cover. Back cover has a black magic marker spot. From a smoke free environment.
