Perfect for the renaissance fair, civil war reenactments, dance costumes or just keeping your hair off your face and out of the way. A circle of elastic holds the snood firmly in place; I wear a plain one for motorcycle rides and it completely solves the tangled hair problem.

This snood is made with a silver grey thread which has an additional thread of metallic silver wound around it. It's a little hard to photograph, but the overall effect is of subtle sparkles Fits 21-22" head circumference and shoulder to mid back length hair.

I crochet these myself using 100% cotton thread (not yarn), which is lighter and cooler than synthetic yarns. Easy to care for, just hand wash and stretch over a dinner plate to dry.

How the snood drapes depends on how long, thick and heavy your hair is. Mine is fairly long and thick, but also somewhat fine so not very heavy. If you look at the copper mist listing my friend's hair is down to her waist and much heavier so the snood hits her lower on the neck. They have some stretch to them so adapt for different hair types. Most of the listings are for a standard length but if you're after a certain look longer snoods are available as custom orders, just send me a message;-)

If you need something special I welcome custom orders!
