Pin cushion, reused vintage materials. A quilt fragment and tin heart mold repurposed to create something totally different. I gave these "throw-aways" a new life plus we have the enjoyment of holding the needlework someone did many, many years ago.

I've repurposed a tiny vintage tin "heart" mold and used it to hold a snippet of a vintage quilting project that a long ago seamstress started and never finished. Wouldn't she be surprised to see how her needlework has been reused - to make life easier for a modern day seamstress.

The perfect dressmaker accouterment. A place for pins and needles. And a homage to the ancient art of dressmaking.

The tin mold is 3" x 3" (8cm x 8cm). The cushion is filled with fiberfill. Teal, rose, apricot, olive yellow and lavender crazy quilted with yellow embroidery trim.

Reused vintage lace may have a microscopic flaw. It's part of the beauty of "vintage". This is why it is so endearing♥
