This small dish or plate has a depiction of the painting "Pinkie" (although it has 'Pinky' written underneath it) by Thomas Lawrence that was done in 1794. "Pinkie" was a family nickname for Sarah Goodin Barrett Moulton who was 11 years old when this portrait was painted at the request of her grandmother. Sarah/Pinkie died the next year at the age of 12.

This piece was made by Duchess Bone China in England, probably in the 1970s from my research. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wearing on the gold edge. It measures approx. 4 3/4 inches in diameter.

It would make a cute soap dish, butter dish, tea bag holder or whatever else you wanted to come up with.
