Special offering for the Tour de Fleece 2012.

A Dyeing Wish (http://ADyeingWishFiberArts.etsy.com) and Inspiration Fibers (http://inspirationfibers.etsy.com) have joined forces for the Tour de Fleece on Ravelry. We are Team Dyeing Inspirations! The Tour de Fleece is a challenging, 22-day spinning marathon that follows along with the Tour de France. This year’s tour runs from June 30th to July 22nd. If they spin, we spin. If they have a rest day, we rest. During the tour, spinners challenge themselves with new techniques and new fiber experiences. Join the team here: http://www.ravelry.com/groups/team-dyeing-inspirations-tdf.

Team Dyeing Inspirations is a Wildcard Team! Since Amanda is a misplaced Confederate (Texas girl in NY) and I am a misplaced Yankee (Ohioan stuck in Florida), we thought it would be fun to have a Confederate/Yankee Wildcard Card Challenge in our team colors of Green and Purple. Scoop up one, two, three . . . as many as you want for a fun, team spirit yarn!
This batt is a SMOOTH blend of fun fibers for your spinning pleasure.

SMOOTH Batts - these batts have different colors layered togethered to create a single batt with with either well blended or layered color variations. The colors may be varing shades of the same color or completely differnt colors! The individual colors consist of multiple fibers dyed multiple colors to create a single final color that is smooth and consists of very few, if any, nubs or bumps. This color blending technique gives the final product a lot of depth. These batts are great for spinning even, lace weight yarn.

I try my best to capture the true beauty of each batt I create. Please note that the actual product may differ slightly than what is viewed.

I only use professional acid dyes to create each colorway

Frequently asked questions about AnthesisArts

Anthesis is the flowering period of a plant. The point from which the bloom opens from a bud.
We have had a lot of inquiries and requests for individual paint offerings. While we do not offer individuals at this time, we are working on that as a long-term goal for the shop. Our focus has been creating these sets to be unique and different from other handmade paints that are available. Each of the sets we offer are the result of hours of searching and testing to get the right colors for the artistic expression we were aiming for. We are starting to get in a great routine and schedule where we can start to think beyond these sets. Follow us in Instagram for updates and announcements on the availability of individual paint offerings.
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Most of the pigments we use have been rated as 'non-toxic' by any outside entity. A few of the pigments we use have not. However, those that have not been rated ‘non-toxic’ have no documented toxicity or health issues to humans. Additionally, we use all natural and organic ingredients in our binding solution. For the purpose of watercolor painting, our paints are perfectly safe. We choose to work with natural pigments, ochres and minerals mined from the Earth and avoid the use of modern synthetics or known toxic pigments. If for some reason that ever changes, we will label and advertise the paints accordingly.
Depends on the request. At this time we can accommodate requests to reserve one of our color palettes when they are available. Changes or alterations to the palette colors may not be as easily accommodated.

Depending on current supply and demand, we may also be able to fulfill requests to add one or two more colors to an order outside the signature color palettes offered. Best way to know is to ask. Simply message Angelique via Etsy Conversations and she'll respond as soon as possible.

All reserved and custom orders must be paid in full within two days of being posted.
