These dog bones (10 per order) were made from recycled paper and Chinese Forget-Me-Not (Cynoglossum amabile) seeds. They make a lovely sympathy gift for someone who has lost their pet.

Chinese Forget-Me-Not seeds will grow into lovely little blue flowers and can grow in just about any condition, from full sun to full shade. The will tolerate the following kinds of soil: Sandy Soil, Loamy Soil, Clay Soil, Moist/Wet Soil and will grow in gardening zones 1-10, from the Northeast to the Southwest.

STORING YOUR PAPER: Store your paper in any cool (not freezing), dry area that is not subject to extreme variations in temperature and humidity. Some products come packaged in an acid-free plastic envelope. If you will not be using your plantable paper right away, open the packaging so the seeds can breathe. For best germination, you should plant your paper within 12-18 months of purchase.

PLANTING YOUR PAPER: To force your plantable paper indoors, moisten the paper until damp but not wet, put in a plastic jar and cover with plastic wrap. Place in a warm, sunny window and you will see little seedlings in about 2 weeks! If planting outdoors, wait until all danger of frost has passed, then rake the soil, scatter the paper onto the soil, cover with 1/4 inch of topsoil, water and keep moist until germination, approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
