Height: each chime approximately is 2.5" wide by 1" high

These two dragon embellished chimes/cymbals are attached by a black leather cord. To play tingsha, one strikes one cymbal against the other, generating a penetrating ringing noise. Tibetan Buddhists have been making tingsha for centuries, using metal alloys with a large amount of bronze to create a prolonged clear tone. The distinctive sound of tingsha also appears, incidentally, on many new age meditation and relaxation tapes.

They are traditionally used as part of Buddhist rituals, ceremonies, prayer and meditation. The beautiful sound of the chime, or tingsha, is used used to clear the 'energy' in a room or to focus people's minds during meditation.
