Annemarie Davidson was a student of the great Doris Hall, and later continued her studies with Curtis Tann. This plate belongs to her Grooveline collection which includes abstract designs with jewels (glass free-form organic shapes) at the center and radiating incised lines that create a very loose and organic design.

This 7 1/2" plate, most likely from the 1961-1962 time period, has a extraordinary use of color. Six gold jewels sit at the center contrasting with the beautiful blue enamel, copper shows through the line work. Stunning!

Plate is in excellent condition, with no chips, or cracks. Signed in the back with the artist's AD intiails and paper label: "Annemarie Davidson, handcrafted enamels, Sierra Madre California."
