Circa 1920's
Antique Knapp Monarch Hair Dryer.
Still Works.
Cloth Cord - Wooden Handle

This Hair Dryer still works. Just plug it in and it starts blowing hot air. (No switch)

Wonderful display piece. Amazing vintage condition.

Tan enameled metal construction. Steel and iron. Minor surface chips and minor rusting around the nozzle. The handle has two tiny chips by the cord.

Made by the Knapp Monarch Co., St. Louis, MO

8" x 6 1/2"

The cord is 9 feet long. Really.

The age of this hair dryer could be traced from the U.S. patent # CAT.NO.81

From print advertisement of the period, I would guess 1920s or before because of the cloth cord and the lack of a switch.

Antique Knapp Monarch Hair Dryer. Working. Cloth Cord. Wooden Handle. 1920s or Before
