Delightful vintage 1950s watercolor features a couple gaily clad in 1950s fashion standing by the Metro opening in front of Cafe George V on the Champs Elysee. I have studied the surface of this piece carefully and I do believe it is an original watercolor painting, not a reproduction of a painting. This must have been a popular type of tourist art, and I guess it still is: I can just picture the artists lined up along the banks of the Seine selling their artwork. It is signed by the artist, but I cannot make out the name: something like Terricallet? or Kincellet? The watercolor measures 9" x 12" not including the frame.

Excellent condition.

For all those Francophones out there...
