Materials: handspun vermont wool yarn, wool and mohair blend yarn, novelty plastic button
This triangular handspun wool shawl has a double button you can move anywhere along the edge for different effects around the neckline, and for more or less warmth. Or take the button out altogether for a simpler look. The collar can be turned up or down.
I was inspired to make this shawl by the colors of a daisy-like garden flower called an orange gazania. The colors are so unusual that the first time I saw one I thought it was artificial.
The peach color in this shawl is a little warmer than the photos show; more like the inner part you can see in the photo of the shawl without the button.
These shawl is small (front extends just to the waist in front) but very warm. It's especially nice to throw over the shoulders of a new mother during nighttime nursing, or just to keep you warm while sitting near a chilly window.
