The leather is buttery soft. I really like them. They were a bit too narrow to get on my son's foot, but I am able to wet stretch the soft leather and make it fit. They are just what I wanted for my little guy.

They are absolutey perfect! I bought them a couple sizes bigger so my son hasn't worn them yet, but I can't wait until they fit him!
