The Eilat Stone in this pendant is from a large piece that a friend gave to me many years ago. The stone comes from Eilat, the southernmost point in Israel and according to some archaeological evidence, copper was first smelted here eons ago. According to legend, King Solomon's mythological copper mines may have been located here. The stone is therefore known as King Solomon's stone and is also the national stone of Israel.

The Eilat stone is very much like turquoise in color, a lovely blue-green hue with brown and black flecks embedded by nature in the stone. Gold-colored flakes that I added enhance the turquoise-like stone. The olivewood is ultra-smooth and lovely to the touch. The combination of the coffee-hued colored olivewood and blue-green of the Eilat stone create a unique, one-of-a-kind pendant.

The pendant is 43 mm (a bit less than 1 3/4" at its widest point) and 55 mm (2 3/16") long.

The chain is only for design purposes and not for sale.
