Crimson Sky features a stoneware pendant by Meredith Heywood of Whynot Pottery in Seagrove, North Carolina. Its fleur-de-lis design in a rich, warm glaze inspired the choice of burnt orange freshwater pearls and sapphire rondelles for the strand. Thai silver beads in a corrugated pattern add texture. Vintage seed beads and copper beads from Ghana complement the scheme. A silver clasp with a leaf design finishes the strand, which measures about 18 inches.

The necklace is warm and bright, a bit out of my usual comfort zone of subdued colors. It's perfect for a summertime neckline.
