The decoration made in some specimens this is also done by hand, brilliant glazes and a lacquer finish.
Each specimen being wrought iron is very heavy in the hand; varying from 60 grams to 150 grams of iron.
Technically, the marranzano is a musical instrument idiophone constructed from a metal structure folded in on itself in the shape of a horseshoe in order to create a free space in the middle of which there is a thin blade of metal that one side is fixed to the structure of the instrument and on the other hand is free. The instrument is played by placing the end with the free-reed resting on the teeth (loosely) and pinching the blade with your finger while you change the size of the oral cavity
to adjust the height of the sounds that may also take place by means of different placements of the tongue.
The object should become one with the body of the musician. But be careful not to hit the blade against the teeth!!
To be sure, another way to play a harp is to position the free-reed front of the teeth without squeezing.
The modern harp is played in three ways: by pinching the blade and usually moving the tongue (Emit vibrations variables accompanied by its own unique sound and low), pinching the blade while increasing at the same time the extension of the oral cavity, pinching the reed simultaneously breathing (emits a unique sound without vibration).
