Cathrineholm Enamel Casserole Pot, Lotus Pot in Olive Green.

Enameled cookware was extremely popular in the mid century and this Cathrineholm Lotus casserole designed by Grete Prytz Kittlesen was the most popular of all.

Originally manufactured in the late 1950s, and known as Sensasjonskasserollen (the sensation casserole) over 150,000 pots such as this were sold in 1964 alone!

Manufactured in Norway, this enamel pot will complement your Danish, or Mid-Century Modern, kitchen beautifully.

This vintage white on olive green enamel casserole is in excellent vintage condition, with only minor, minor wear: Th black enamel edge at the top of the pot is somewhat rough but has no discernible flea bites or chips, and there are two pinprick sized signs of discoloration on the lid handle. Otherwise this casserole is exceptional, with no fleabites or discoloration on the interior or exterior of the pot.

Dimensions:
Width (with handles) - 12 1/4"
Diameter (at widest point) - 8 1/2"
Height (without lid) - 4"
